When I was a child about 6-8 yrs old I remember asking my Mom if I could get a miniature horse. At the time they were advertising them for indoor living and the starting price was around $10,000 each! I remember she laughed when I told her how much they cost & then she calmly said: "You better start saving all your pennies!" When I first moved to Oregon in 2000 I bought my very first miniature horse and ironically enough her name was Penny! I later changed her registered name to "Saving Pennies" It just seemed appropriate. :*) |
