This is Shasta a 4 yr. old Miniature Horse Appaloosa mare. You can see she's quite the ham when it came to picture taking! She was rescued from the Indian reservation along with her pregnant Dam "Lady" in 2002. Shasta was in desperate need of some serious attention & it took a lot of time & patience to get her to come around. She was extremely head shy when I first brought her home but I kept working with her & eventually she did get better about it. She had serious trust issues (as most rescues do) its funny how a little love and attention can really go along way!!! GOOD NEWS 2004: Shasta has been adopted by the same family who adopted Cookie! Katlin has been spending a lot of time with Shasta & all our combined efforts to turn her around have really paided off! Shasta has turned into a great little horse! I always love a happy end!! :*) |
